This salmon is just downright bomb-dot-com! It has the perfect kick and pairs well with pretty much anything!
We used Barbecue Nut Crumbs and Mikes Hot Honey for this tasty treat.
Ingredients for two people:
1/2 lb salmon
1/2 c. Barbecue Nut Crumbs
2 T. Mike's Hot Honey
salt & pepper to taste
We cooked this fabulous salmon in our air fryer. You can always bake it, if you do not have an air fryer. If you are looking to purchase an air fryer, I highly recommend it! I use mine all the time and everything cooks so nicely in it and you don't have to use all the oil and butter :)
Spray the bucket of your air fryer with oil (avocado or olive oil work great).
Cut the salmon into portioned pieces. Place in air fryer bucket, skin down if there is skin on it.
Salt + Pepper the salmon lightly.
Generously drizzle with the hot honey and heavily coat with Barbecue Nut Crumbs. Give the top of the crumbs another spray with oil before putting into fryer.
Cook at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.
If you don't have an air fryer you can cook as follows:
Bake: Add pieces of salmon to a parchment paper covered baking sheet and bake in a 450 degrees oven for 12-15 minutes.
Fry: Add olive oil + butter in a skillet and fry the salmon for 2 minutes each side on medium heat.
I used this salmon over a salad. My go-to salad is spring mix or arugula, cucumber, green onion, pecans, goat cheese, avocado, and really good oil and vinegar. My favorite right now are linked here. Don't forget to salt and pepper your salad!
